Job purpose

In its mission to establish sustainable diving as the social norm, Reef-World is looking to develop new digital tools, and streamline its existing online presence. A critical thinking individual with strong Project Management skills will serve as the Project Coordinator (IT Development). They will shape the digital strategy and lead the rest of the Reef-World team and our wide network of stakeholders towards this vision. They will work under the direction and guidance of the Programmes Manager, and ultimately report to the Directors.

Through knowledge and understanding of the challenges faced by our stakeholders, and in consultation with the Reef-World team, the Project Coordinator (IT Development) will manage the development of new digital tools to inspire action to address immediate threats to coral reefs and associated marine ecosystem health, and identify and execute strategies to improve existing online and digital tools.

In addition, the Project Coordinator (IT Development) will support in the delivery of Green Fins (~50% of time), alongside country partners and teams consisting of government representatives and NGOs. Green Fins promotes best environmental standards for the diving and snorkelling industry. Reef-World has implemented Green Fins in Antigua & Barbuda, Dominican Republic, Indonesia, Malaysia, Maldives, Palau, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. In 2020, it is expected that there will be 2-3 additional Green Fins countries which will require training and development of new country teams.
