We are delighted to announce that Reef-World’s agreement with the Matthew Good Foundation is extended for another 2 years! Their financial support of £20,000 over two years (2022-2024) will support our digital community efforts on the Green Fins Hub with existing and new Green Fins Members to increase the awareness and implementation of environmental standards of scuba diving and snorkel operators.

We hope to create behavioural change and reduce threats to coral reefs from marine tourism businesses. Reef-World intends to do this through the amazing work of our Digital Community Officer, Erin who is responsible for managing the Green Fins Community Forum and being the voice of Green Fins for Digital Members on the Green Fins Hub worldwide.

For years the Matthew Good Foundation has worked closely with Reef-World on various projects (Sea Aventure School and Green Fins) to support our mission to encourage people to act in conserving and protecting coral reefs and other marine ecosystems. Their support has helped the organisation grow and enabled us to adapt and develop the newly launched Green Fins Hub.

Tim Good, Matthew Good Foundation’s Founder and Chairman, joined our board of trustees in July 2021. Tim’s passion for the sea began when he started sailing at six years old, and he takes a keen interest in projects that positively impact people, communities and the environment. We are very proud to have him on board to help us deliver practical solutions for marine conservation worldwide.

The Matthew Good Foundation donates and works closely with small causes and local charities that need the most help. Every cause is handpicked by their staff and trustees so they know exactly where the money is being spent. They welcome approaches from small marine projects that may need financial or communications assistance.

Reef-World is enormously grateful for their support, and we look forward to more years of working together in protecting and conserving coral reefs worldwide!
