In partnership with Reef-World, Scuba Diving International (SDI) will promote Green Fins environmental standards for sustainable diving and snorkelling across their network.

The Reef-World Foundation hosted an unprecedented workshop in February 2026 to align nations across the coral triangle region.

“Blue Friday”, a grassroots initiative that was launched by Marin Scuba Club of Northern California in 2021 on “Black Friday”, is celebrating its fifth anniversary in 2025 with global recognition through an alliance with The Reef World Foundation (Green Fins’ international coordinator), and Sun Divers Roatan.

The report reveals that dive and snorkelling operators committed to the Green Fins Code of Conduct achieved an overall reduction of 26% in environmental threats across their operations during the reporting period.
